Learn MoreWhere Expertise Meets Understanding
Choosing the right psychologist for you or your child is challenging. You deserve someone who combines expertise with real-world understanding — someone who helps make sense of challenges while guiding practical, lasting change. You want a specialist, not someone who simply “dabbles” in what matters most to you.
I’m Dr. Ken Shamlian, a licensed psychologist and board-certified in behavioral and cognitive psychology, behavioral sleep medicine, and behavior analysis. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults with neurodevelopmental differences, behavioral, and medical complexities across homes, schools, and medical institutions — including my ongoing work as Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
My work focuses on helping families navigate issues that affect daily life — sleep, learning, self-regulation, and behaviors that challenge. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of being heard and supported. Families often share that what stands out most is how complex problems start to feel manageable and how evidence-based care finally feels personal and practical.
Whether you’re seeking an evaluation to better understand autism, ADHD, or learning differences, or looking for behavioral or sleep consultation, my goal is to meet you where you are, help you see the full picture, and work alongside you toward meaningful progress and peace of mind.
